charging issue

charging issue so ive had this issue for a few months and still have yet to solve it. every so often when i start my car up the charge sits at around 10 volts. and after driving it for 5-10 minutes most of the time they will go up to normal charging. but sometimes, like its happened about 3 times, when i have normal charging the volts will drop back down to like 10 volts or 1/4 on the gauge...any ideas? i replaced the brushes, voltage regulator and rear bearing before this started happening

pretty sure my alternator just died on my way to work. charges were at 1/4 then slowly started going down until the car died. im thinking new alternator and im probably going to need a battery as well. FML.
