I'd also stay away from self aglining rockers. Get some NSA rockers and guide plates, the heads are already studded, so its not a big deal adding guide plates.
Reason I suggest it, is I have heard that with higher lift cams they don't work out very well.
Other than that it sounds like a badass build, be sure to post up lots of pics

Advertised duration is the angle in crankshaft degrees that the cam follower is lifted more than a predetermined amount (the SAE standard is 0.006") off of its seat.

Your used to reading durations that are measured at .050

Good luck with the build man, I have just heard to stay away from SA rockers with higher lift cams to avoid troubles
BTW a buddy of mine has a '73 Nova SS with a 502 and a 6 speed and I just love that car. I'll see if I can dig up some pics of it and post them up

I still have centerbolts and I have guideplates, hardened pushrods, and 1.6 NSA pro mags under the stock covers. I had to trim the insides of the covers to make them fit, but its really easy to do.

But my buddies car is crazy. It started out with a small block and a th350, then the big block, then a reverse valve body th400, then some spary (75 shot IIRC) and low 10 second quarter mile times on a 26x9 et street tire (A 10.2 was his best), and now its on all hotchkis suspension and 17" boyd cottington wheels with a 6 speed and still has a little spray
The car is really nice, but if it was mine there would be a few things that I would change, but thats all personal preference.
I like your car though, still with the old skool stance and classic wheels....it looks really good, but lowered with a set of ZR1s......now that I think would look badass
Good luck with the build
