Default Questions about exhaust/intate recommendations...

Hello all, I've noticed there's a lot of people eager to help each other out, so I thought I'd post my question(s) here.

I've got a 1994 Firebird Formula, mostly stock other than a catback exhaust.

On a relative budget...

-I had been thinking about running long tube headers into true duals. I've been doing a little research and found that this could add up to be a much bigger project than I had first thought. Could anyone give me a good list of everything that I would have to purchase and/or recomment a set-up?

Also...

-Intakes? My car came with a suncoast ws6 style ram air hood and I've been looking into getting the intake. What else can I do in addition to that to get more out of it? Throttle body? Lid? (I don't actually know what a lid is, but I've seen it mentioned...)

Thank you to everyone who replies, I appreciate anything you have to say to help

or would headers to a y pipe be just as effective?

and with headers, how do I make sure they pass emissions? as this will still be my daily driver

true duals will give you more power. The headers if you are worried about emissions you will need to get headers with provisions for emissions and also run cats.

as far as this intake goes a lid is typically with an LS1 unless you have done the LS1 intake conversion. Just get the ram air kit that is made from the hood from suncoast.
