Default done and effed it up again

i was racing a c6 on the highway, and my dumb *** went and threw it into reverse instead of 5th. it red lined all the way to 7k, and now it doesn't start. when cranking it, it will turn over a little bit and stop, and then turn over a little bit more, and stop. im thinking I might have some bent push rods. it will fire a little bit, but just sputters and dies. any body wanna throw in a guess as to what i fucked up this time? i wont be able to tear into it tonite to see whats wrong.

damn! whats up w/ your reverse lock out? your lucky you didn't loose control or anything! the tach went to 7k but I bet the engine spun allot higher than that. you probably did bend at least one PR, hopefully nothing more serious than that tho. GL

So many things wrong there...

1) In fourth I think hit damn near 120+ mph before redline...if you haven't won by then, you've lost, that's all there is too it.

2) As stated, why didn't your reverse lockout keep you from making that mistake?

Only way to access the total damage is to pop off the valve covers and look for any carnage. Hopefully you didn't damage much.

im hoping not too much damage. i dunno what happened with the lock out. it just slipped right in to reverse like it was 5th. oh, btw, i was winning. just wanted some more distance between us. i'll update later 2nite when i get the car home and start tearing into it.

Who ever was winning wasn't my point, gears 1-4 are where the power is for a M6, the race should be over and the winner clear by then.

I'm sure you would trade that win for a loss as long as your car was alright, wouldn't you?

thats wierd how it would slip right into reverse even if the lockout wasnt workin. it would be harder to get it in reverse at 120mph then itd be to put it into 1st with no clutch
