Underdrive Pulley Help
I'm new to the site and I looked to see if anyone asked about this yet but I couldn't find anything so sorry if I am bringing up an old topic but I need some help.
I bought a BBK underdrive pulley for the car and I want to install it before I go to the track on friday but I have no idea if I need to buy a smaller belt now also. It didn't say anything about it in the paperwork that came with pulley. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Here's the part numbers that Summit gives. I just figured I'd go ahead and get them, so you wouldn't have to worry about finding them. Dayco #5060595 or Gates #K060594. Those are like $30 belts though. You can take those numbers to a local parts store, and just get a house brand belt for a fraction of the cost. That's what I did, and haven't had any problems yet. Here's the full instructions for the pulley installation too, since they don't come with instructions. http://static.summitracing.com/globa...s/bbk-1591.pdf

Thanks alot for the info guys, but looks like I won't have it on for friday.
Hey tspence45, Did you have any charging issues with your car when you put your UDP on? My brother put one on his old LT1 and had to take it off due to charging issues.

just mount the pulley, tape a pease of string to the pulley and run the pease of string the path of the belt till it ends at the pease of tape. take a good measurement, go to your local autopart store and they will most likely have it in stock. it should be a 8 rib belt.
