Oil pan rails/reinforcements

Oil pan rails/reinforcements Out of frustration and carelesness from today (raining constantly) I quickly rushed to do my oil pan and gasket and forgot to install the rails/reinforcements 
Will the motor leak? A friend of mine swears it will leak, and another friend of mine just did his oil pan gasket and also forgot them and his motor doesn't leak at all. I need some more opinions here before I go ripping off the pan again and getting a new gasket if I don't need to.
