Default Converter problem

Ok so i have a 93 z28, i just installed a Fuddle Racing 3600 converter, took it for a test drive to see how it was and check fluid, everything was good, put a little bit more in and was all fine, drove it to a buddies house and it sat for about 1 hour, get in start it up and go to start driving, it wont shift through gears until about 3500-4000 rpm!!!!!! but when i took it out both times it shifted fine at 2000rpm, someone please help me!!!

I would not call this a "converter problem" at this point.

I have never dealt with it so I am asking an honest question. Did you disturb the TV cable? If so any chance it slipped during the initial drive or when you went to leave your friend's place.

I never dealt with the TV controlled trannies so I am not completely clear on how they handle shift points.

Before you drive it again. Check the Throttle Valve. It's easy to adjust and just as easy to unjust. If you don't know how, we can try to explain it, or you can do a simple google. That might not be the problem but I would start there first. If thats not it, then move to the governor, pull it out and check that everything moves freely. Also check you fluid.

It's common, just needs adjusted. Release the tension 1/4" or so and try it. It's trial and error to get it right. I would recommed a tranny cooler though.

i do have a tranny cooler, i just dont understand this, ive done numerous amounts of converter swaps and never had this problem before, it basically went from driving fine(me leaving it in overdrive and it shifting through the gears itself) to me having to go over 1/2 throttle to 4000rpm for it to shift, if i dont do that it wont shift at ALL, i just dont get it, i tried calling the guy from fuddle and there phone is off, shot him some emails, still no answer back, so who knows, thanks guys all help is encouraged and appreciated.
