Default msd cap and rotor

i have a 97 lt1 trans am and i was wondering if the msd cap and rotor wwould work on my stock distributor?

i went with the MSD because its vented. and my 94 stock isnt. that and it looks pretty lol

vented id have to imagine is better. it allows for fresh air to circulate around so no moisture builds up. and the sealing around the cap and body is real good

i thoought that all 97 lt1s were vented already? so there is nothing better about them then the fact that they are vented and seal good?

it has brass instead of pot steel terminals which is a plus.
