Default Oh Yay yet another fun problem, my new IM is a 1993 one...

Ok I am confused, I was not looking and took the new ported intake manifold I bought, got it all cleaned up and just put it on.

I put the new o-rings on the injectors... and then I tried to put it on... damit.

So I am lost, I started looking around thinking maybe I had a Corvette Intake Manifold no its a 93 Manifold.

I have the fuel rails, injectors (Which look different at the tips, any difference? Should I switch them?) I am not sure I like the placement of the fuel lines... I also seem to have a new FPR on my old Manifold.

My question is this, any problems running the 93 on a 95 etc car? Besides the fuel line differences?

How can I modify my fuel lines just cut them down or completely redo them?

Any gains from the 93 Mani being used?

Again on the injectors should they be changed or is there no difference other than the appearance of the tips?

Any difference between the FPR's or should I just leave it alone?

Thanks!

I think you asked all your questions 3 times 3 different ways lol..

You need to swap the injectors. No since downgrading and it would probably fu your tuning

Yea, the '93 has smaller injectors than the rest of the years. I think the rest of the differences are placement differences of components. I think in the FAQ section there is a list of differences between those intakes/years/etc. as well.

As far the fuel lines being too long, i had this same problem. i was able to route my fuel lines underneath my CAI and between the brakes. looks good, because the fuel line are practically done. Just an idea. no real advantage on a 93 manifold. Like said before the injectors are a little smaller.

supposedly of all the LT1 intakes the 93 is considered the best for a max effort stock manifold car because it is said to have more plenum volume

the rails im not sure can be swapped because of the placement of the crossover pipe. good luck.

Keep the 93 intake+rails and just run the bigger injectors. You cannot swap the rails because of the location of the crossover and where the factory FPR mounts. The shrader valve is in a different location as well, and is easier to reach on the 93's.

There is no downfall to the 93 intake manifold itself, the only real difference in the fuel system is just the 2#'s smaller factory injectors - which factory injectors should not be used on a big cammed rebuild anyway.
