Default Under drive pulley is it worth anything?

Mods are 1.6RR on LE budget heads, 227 cam, Pacesetter LT, cutout, CAI (all on new stock short block) and a 3000 stall. Is it worth any HP or a waste of money like the foil? Spray after the bugs are worked out.

Is it worth it to empty the cat?

Save your money on the underdrive, it don't do much for the lt1 cars. Also you would be better off putting a straight pipe in rather than gutting the cat.

EWP would be more beneficial than a UD pulley.
As stated, straight pipe would be better than a gutted cat.

An UD pulley does make good under curve gains but when it peaks, its less then 1 hp. The downside is your battery charges less and with a high comp motor I had, it sucked that the battery bearly charged. I would get stuck often. I went back to stock, on a new alternator and never looked back.

To me having a reliable car was better then the 2-3 under curve hp.

Also this car had a CSR/CSi EWP that draws alot of power, so for that sake it needed to be fixed.
