Default problems with putting on an SLP CAI..

haha, I know it sounds retarded, but its not wanting to go in.

Its hitting my ABS and doesn't even look close. I got it off of a member on here and he's checked up with me to make sure everything was good with it and I let him know what was going on, I'm just waiting to hear back from him.

I thought theres a chance it could be for a Caprice or something.. but hopefully thats not the case.

I just wanted to hear from some guys that have SLP intakes and make sure that they do go on pretty smoothly... I shouldn't have to do anything crazy with my ABS, right?

I had one and I had to tug on the radiator a bit for it to slide in. It did the same thing you described. No biggie. It'll fit. Just push down on it and pull radiator towards front of vehicle.

Thats exactly what I did..

I went to a buddy's house and started taking it back apart when I realized I could just unbolt the radiator support and pulling on it gave me enough room.

TURBO383WS6 was the seller and was an awesome guy to deal with. He was real cool about everything and even tried to contact SLP to see what might be the problem.

Right and the K&Ns are notorious for having the filter fall off the plastic tube randomly and then you do an oil change a month later to see that you have been sucking up road dirt for who knows how long. I know this for a fact because it happen to me.

Back on subject...

You might have to tug on the radiator a little to get it slide in. On the front of the slp intake that in a metal bracket that slides into a notch on the frame right by the headlight. They make these intakes for 94-97, 93 and f-body V6's. Each one is different but would all generally look the same to your average joe. I'd verify later if your still having issues to make sure it is the same for your year car.

Hahaha, yea I've had that happen... never happened again since. You just can't be a retard about it and bolt on the filter tight enough.
