Default Things to do during headers install?

I'm going to install full exhaust soon and was wondering what else I should get at meanwhile. Any recommendations on spark plugs, wires, 02s? Anything else I may as well get at?

Poly motor mounts, Ngk tr55's, msd wires, o2's will be fine, you will need o2 extensions if running longtubes.

i just put e3 diamond fire plugs in and the headers with gaskets and my ory pipe. and i just put factory 7mm wires on it. no need for bigger wires at just bolt ons. 8mm would be ok, but not completly neccesary. thats all i used. good luck. What headers did you get? i installed pacesetter LT's back in march.

Poly motor mounts?? What are those and why would I want to change them? Just curious since I too am about to install LPPs and a GMMG.

There stiffer motor mounts than stock. The ones you have (stock mounts) are going to be old and worn which may cause the headers to hit in some places (did on mine atleast) the poly motor mounts solved the issue. Since he is about to start a header install this is a good time to get at them.

I ordered the Texas Speed 3" cat-back, and will ordering either the ceramic-coated or painted LT Pacesetters with ORY.

I think I'll probably go with the MSD wires and tr55s. Any suggestions on front 02s? I want to replace them while doing the headers install.

The painted will burn off. If you get the ceramic coated you have to make damn sure to get all the grease off before firing it up. Maybe it is just bad luck around here but everyone that i have seen that have installed ceramic coated have flaked off.

If you can afford the extra $ my suggestion would be the jett hot coated. That is what i have and have yet to have a problem.

Maybe I'll just get the painted. What do I care if the paint flakes off?

Go with the oem Ac Delco o2's if you want to replace them. As for the coating it does keep the temps down and they look much better. I have the painted ones but definately wish i had spent the extra money for coated ones. But I figure I will just spring for some kooks later down the line.
