Default How do I make the low coolant light go off?

I've got a 96 Z28 and I just replaced the overflow tank. As of what I can see it has no sensor only the aluminium tube that slids down from the top inside. I fill it up and the light stays on? Any advice?

the actual sensor is at the bottom of the radiator near the drain plug. they're notorious for being pretty faulty. if you don't replace it you can just unplug it, but remember to keep an eye on your coolant level either way

I unplugged mine as well. I always check my fluid levels when filling up on gas so it's not worth it to me to spend however much one is.

You can take it out and clean it with a Q-tip around the sensor it builds up crud around it. I did this and it fixed mine.

Thanks guys! I'll attempt to clean it and if that doesn't fix it, I'll unplug it and check it more often. Thanks angain and God Bless!
