Default Missing coolant from radatior and its filling the resivor

So i have about 3000 miles on my motor after i had pulled it and put H/C/I and all new gaskets through out the motor. Well i have been noticing my radatior looses about 44oz's of water a day, and my coolant resivor fills up and overflows on to the ground when its parked an turned off. What could be causing this? im thinking head gasket, but im not having any over heating issues the car stays at 210 all day long in the hot fl weather, no coolant in my oil, and no other issues exept the missing coolant. Yesterday we took about a 40 mile drive and when i parked it took a hole 20 oz bottle of water when i checked the radatior. Any ideas opinions or anything would be awesome cuz its beyond me. Thanks in advance. I know there has been simular threads like this one but they dont sounds exactly like my issues.

How new is your radiator cap? Its probably not holding pressure.

its pretty old, but you know i have asked a few people an some have sayed theres no way that could be the issue, and that its more then likely a headgasket issue. but do the part stores keep the caps in stock?

Even if it is the radiator cap then where is the rest of the coolant going? Yes any parts store should have it. The cap is nothing special.
Do a leak down.

it all seems to be overflowing into the resivor. Prolly doing a leak down test monday to see what the rings are doing anyways.

yea i did, even under the oil cap, no issues there, like i said theres no other symtoms of a head gasket besides the water in the radatior and filling the resivor.

if a headgasket is going you should get compression out of the radiator with the cap off too... no?

Make sure you didn't switch the two small hoses that connect to the top of the radiator near the cap.

I just had the same problem. A new radiator cap fixed it.

When the reservoir gets full it will spill onto the ground.

I bought the one with a pressure release lever. It only cost about six bucks. Good luck!
