You really don't need a bigger than stock intake/TB to meet your 9.80 goal. Especially since you will be running nitrous. I have never seen a flow comparison on the Edelbrock LT4 intake vs stock, but I really doubt there is much difference in the two.

The GM LT manifold is not going to hold back the vast majority of setups.

For less than the cost of either the single plane or the LT4 manifold you could modify an LT1 intake to work.

The LT4 intake is internally no different from the late LT1 intakes, the early LT1 intakes have a more rectangular port that might actually be BIGGER than the LT4 port.

The difference in the LT4 is material above the port. Whether there is enough material on an as cast LT1 intake to port match will depend on the heads and head work you are running. In some cases guys have just welded more material above the LT1 ports to make room to port match to taller port heads. Sometimes this is cheaper and easier than finding an LT4 intake.

I did not read your whole build thread but in the first post you say AI 200CC heads, in which case an LT1 intake will be just fine. Did you decide on different heads? If so ask the guys doing the heads what intake you should use

Maybe check out AI's intake service, I'm sure they could send you in the right direction.
