Default Fuel pump not turning on

I changed the fuel filter and drained the lines of gas. Put in 2 gallons of fuel, car started and died. Then it wouldnt start at all.. nothing. Listened... fuel pump does not prime and my gas gauge needle is all the way past full (was not like that before all this) and does not move when i turn iginition on.. fuse was ok. Possibly the relay?

I hope it is not the pump itself... was replaced about 8000 miles ago. I just dont see why the needle would be stuck all the way up too..

Try checking the Connector on the inside of the Rear Drivers wheel well..sounds like it's unplugged.

Get a fuel pressue gauge on it just to be sure.
Jump the prime connector with 12v to see if you can get power to the pump.
Replace the relay if needed.

Tried that, was fine and wires looked ok. Has zero pressure. Tried the 12v prime wire.. nothing. Changed out the relay... nothing. Used an multimeter on the relay wiring, there is power to the relay...

What is the correct fuse to look for? I know its in the engine bay on a 96 but i cant find any that say anything about a fuel pump
Whenever you check for blown fuses, check each and every fuse while you are at it.

Instead of using a dremel with a cutting wheel just use a good pair of tin snips. It's much faster.

Okay guys I'm have a similar problem with my car and would take any help that I can get. I have a 97 Z28 Camaro that just started giving me problems. I changed out the battery a bout a month ago and forgot to reconnect the negative battery terminal (didn't see it). The car started up and drive fine for the next 3 weeks. The fourth week the car act like it didn't wanna start, So I pop the hood to find that the negative terminal was disconnected the whole time. I reconnected it and it still don't start. I checked all the fuses under the hood and inside the driver fuse box nothing is blown. When I turn the car to the on position I don't hear the fuel pump (Racetronix fuel pump) humming and the fuel needle is showing a full tanks which it's not. I'm getting 12.08v when the key is turned on then drop to 7.59 at the power wire to the pump. I bought a fuel pressure gauge and its show 0 in the on position. I need to figure out if the pump is bad before I replace it. Any help will help I don't know what else it could be.
