Oil deflector/Crank shaft clearance issue !!!

Exclamation Oil deflector/Crank shaft clearance issue !!!

while assembling my ngine, installing ARP Main studs (part# 2345501) .i put the oil deflector on and its touching the crank, !!!
- is it possible to eliminate the deflector? (sorry for the noob question)
- is the original main bolts my only option with the LT1?
please help ,,what shall i do,im stuck !

btw in this pic the counter weights are up (top side of the engine).

Do you mean the windage tray? Depending on the amount of interference, any way you can put some washers behind it and space it out? Alternately, there might be some people out there that can tell you what studs that might work.

exactly,,its the windage tray...i was told in a another thread that these are the right studs :S

You need somemore nuts and washers, what you have to do is install your rods and pistons then add nuts to the stud so that the windage tray will sit on them and clear the rotating assembly.
