It is the best one I have seen in a LOOOONG time. There is a LT1 head dyno test in it....great info.
And for you guys that are learning, look at the AVERAGE horsepower numbers, not peak numbers on the test. Average horsepower will outrun a peak number all day everyday.

Yeah its a great article. AFR's 195 street head won hands down. With TEA's 200cc trickflows in a close second. I would have like to see a set of LE2's and a set of A.I.'s ported stock 200's in the test.

I think the new editor and staff are finally taking it to the next level and featuring some different stuff... I mean how many twin turbo LS2 motors with Big Stuff 3 can you feature in one year?

i sent them feedback through their website. if they get a big response from us then there might be hope left for this great magazine. don't want them to turn into another car craft magazine or something...

It's still good to see some LT1 articles showing up. I would run out and pick up a copy now, but the only mags to be found around here are mustang and ricer mags.

Article is a JOKE.
Golen's dyno is known to be quite happy with 440hp engines delivering UNDER 330rwhp. He also offers a 520hp motor yet none of these hit that anyone else wonder what is up with that?
38 degrees of timing on pump fuel should raise eyebrows as well as a GOOD build would not need that much timing.
Say what you want about "nice to see the LT1 getting coverage" but I see it as it is getting poor coverage. Sort of like the old saying about "PERFECT, practice makes perfect", doing something wrong over and over and never getting it right is NOT a positive thing.
Also seems to me just in the last week we saw a 470RWhp hydraulic setup with ported GM castings, who would like to see that tested against this stuff?

I think that was a great article. Obviously they are going to test their advertisers products, if it wasn't for this website I would never have known about AI or LE. The cool thing about the article is that it was done in a matter to eliminate variables. Sure the 470 rwhp thread was with a 396, a custom cam with what specs, and a spec. Edelbrock manifold that was later said to be untouched. Thats the problem with these threads in general, "x-product is better than y-product", but it in reality they are on two completely different set-ups. so again i say great article.

Interesting article and it seemed unbiased to me, 96Capricemgr why so skeptical of the results? This gives me great inspiration for my 383 build and 847 cam, a really good set of heads can give me 500 hp + at the flywheel.
