Default Advanced Induction 383 - 11.1 @ 121.7- ***VIDS WITH***

I'm tickled pink. Some of you are familiar with this thread:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/lt1-lt4-m...ion-383-a.html

I got the shifting issue worked out, and had AMAZING air conditions. Density altitude was 300, about 65 degrees and dry. Also, chose to head to Atco Raceway in NJ as opposed to Maple Grove. Track prep was better at MG, but Atco really provided the results I was looking for.

First pass -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGNffctGD1w

60' 1.61 (spun a bit)
330 4.607
1/8 7.165 @ 95.66
1000 9.379
1/4 11.24 @ 121.40

They threatened to kick me out because I didn't have a fire jacket. Next run I decided to get on the brakes so I didn't get booted. Dropping a pound out of each rear tire helped.

Second pass -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HH5XnveVBvo

60' 1.59
330 4.578
1/8 7.125 @ 96.14
No 1/4 ET/MPH

Here's the last pass of the night. I decided to run a full 1/4 because hey, I'm going home anyway. Dropped another half pound out of each ET street and, well, the vid speaks for itself.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBV9bvEZrwM

60' 1.57 (yay daylight!)
330 4.54
1/8 7.084 @ 96.48
1000 9.283
1/4 11.142 @ 121.77

The ONLY changes that I made to the car between the last trip to the track (11.51 @ 118) was that I re-gapped the spark plugs down to .035" from .045", resolved the shifting issue, and made some very minor weight reduction. Keep in mind I am still running on a mail-order tune. My wideband is showing 11.7:1 A/F @ WOT, so needless to say, there's plenty left in it.

10s definitely are in the future. Not bad for a mostly full-weight 383 LT1 with a mild cam. AI FTMFW!

It's an all-forged high compression 383 with the AI 200cc heads.

No cage yet...I wasn't planning on running this fast this early.

Congrats on the badass times. I'm pretty sure my setup is really close to yours. I just wish I had a gear and some traction. Can't wait to see a 10second slip.

Nice! I borrow a firejacket ASAP. You MAY be able to snag a 10 sec slip just the way it sits. Little more practice and better air..You never know

No secrets here. It's a Ford 9", Denny's nitrous-ready shaft, stock springs and shocks, all BMR/Spohn components, -1.5 degree pinion angle, full spool, 33 spline axles, 3.90 gear, Wilwood rear brakes.

Hahah, I don't think I can get much better air than last night. Atco is 17ft. above sea level, it was around 60-degrees at the time of my last run, and humidity was non-existent. Everyone wouldn't shut up about how perfect the weather was. Next time I'll shoot for 11.0x. Baby steps!

And I just patronized Summit for a fire jacket.

Get that 60' down and you got definite 10s! I was going 1.60-1.62s when I was running 12 flat. You're gonna go well into the 10s when you start getting things working better!

Great run. I really hope i can run high 11's. Also, make sure you patronize Grundy and get an agreed-value ins policy on that beast. With all that $ poured into it, I would hate to even think about fires and whatnot.
