Default white smoke help

my motor was just built in may i havent really got on it bc it needs to be tuned, and when i did it was black, past weekend i pulled the intake off to fix a leak when i put everything back on all of a sudden i m blowing white smoke when i get on it. now it smells like oil. im praying its not the rings can this have anything to do with me maybe not putting the intake back on right???????????

How would the intake let water into the engine

Are you loosing water?

Maybe check the plugs for steam cleaning.

sry just thinking if it started after he removed the intake it might have something to do with that. I normally dont comment because I'm just starting to try to learn about all this stuff. Thanks for correcting me I would hate to cause someone more head aches then they already have with my ignorance.

On the other hand the intake WILL suck oil into a port if a gasket got messed up on install. Or especially if its the WRONG intake gasket. Been there, done that.

how many miles have you put on the motor since the rebuild

Sounds like an intake gasket leaking to me, probably pinched the bottom on one of the ports on install.
