Default LM1 way too loud on my car, need new exhaust (ideas)

I've just finished my LE2 226/230 cam swap on the T/A, and the car is just WAY too loud. I was looking around and found this http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PYE-XVX13/ And was wondering if anyone has tried it. I will also need some mufflers, and was considering dynomax cause I always liked the way they sound. Anyone have any experience with this stuff, or have other ideas? Thanks -Chris

Did you check to see if it fits your application? I doubt it will.

With a hammer and a good welder you can make anything work.

Switching to a TD setup with dynomax mufflers(assuming bullets) isnt going to tame down the sound at all...if anything its going to be louder. I have a summit 3in xpipe with bullets on my car fits pretty good with some persuading.

Its still going to be pretty loud even with those. If it were me i would just get a Magnaflow catback and put a cut out in for the track days if my car was a street car.

Hooker Aerochamber will sound really nice, deep and throaty.

I wonder what it would sound like with LTs and a CC503

LOL, you're not the first person to say that about the LM1 and I'm sure you won't be the last!

Sure, until every cop in your little town hears you fire it up everytime you want to drive. Besides, I bet you wont be saying that once you get some headers and some more stuff done.

i had a lm1 with my cammed car, and i switched the resonator out for a spiral flow. not sure how restrictive it is but it sounded neat and actually quieted the car down a good bit. i have since switched to open headers with turn downs (track only car)

I have heard lots and lots of lt1 cat backs, in person, and the LM1 is probably the shittiest sounding of them all IMO.

I loove my Borla. So smooth and tight - not raspy. Loud enough under WOT but not too loud at all, especially cruisin around easy.

I would do whats called a "borlamouth" and put a Borla muffler in your loudmouth system and be done. People say it really has an awesome sound. I know my Borla does
