Default What do I need to convert over to braided fuel lines?

Well I took my car to the exhaust shop to have my homemade SFC's cut out and the new UMI ones welded in. So as everyone knows nothing can go perfect and well they melted my factory plastic line. They fixed it and all but now it gives me a reason to go with braided steel lines. So my question is exactly what and how many of what do I need to convert over? I want to run the lines behind the brake booster to hide them if that makes a difference.

they do make adapters that allow you to connect to the factory line and has provisions for AN lines. where they are, not really sure. i was searching the other day for my friend. talk to sponsors i guess.

You can get quick disconnect adapters for -6an from summit. Russell makes them part 640853 3/8 and 640863 5/16 to adapt to the hard rail lines. You could also use them at the fuel module. then just find a filter and run the lines. I used the 5/16 adapter for running -6 to my factory fuel rail on my SRT4, worked great. I have been thinking about running lines on the Camaro and these fittings are what I am going to use.

I have them on my car. Runs straight down the car instead of going through the wheel well. Pure Choice Motorsports is where I got my stuff.

i also got all the fittings from pure choice motor sports. four in total two feed adapters and two return adapters. then i just ordered 15 ft of braided line from jegs. pretty easy to do. you may need to use some steel wool or fine sand paper on the hard lines under the car to make the adapters fit.

No kidding on making the adapters fit under the car.I had to take my dremel and lightly grind down the hardline to make it fit. My top ones were tight but I didn't need to sand em. I got the lines from pure choice as well - preformed with hose ends. Except it would of fit better if they were like 3 inches longer.

The fuel fittings "5810" and "5820" fit our cars. You need 2 of each for at the fuel rail and down under the car. Then two 48" long braided line if you want to run it straight down the frame like I did. I would call them up because there isn't really a single kit.. you gotta piece it together.

Yep, following the brake lines. I don't know the hose diameter. They are going to give you whatever the diameter is of the fittings.
