Default what pistons for my build?

going with a 6" rod for sure and a +.030 bore. I am looking for a 4340 forged aluminum piston flat top with to valve reliefs. I am looking for a high quality piston that isn't too fragile to handle a hefty shot of spray, but also isn't too bulky to add unnecessary rotating mass.

I am also looking for rings. I have been told for spray I want a tooled steel ring but I need to find out which ones to get and where to get them.

any info is appreciated.

Mahles are quality pieces but I would tend to lean more towards a JE/SRP piston just for the fact that they are made in the US

Last I heard Mahle performance pistons are made in Tennessee, or is that not part of the US?

The Mahle pistons in a stock engine are made in Brazil but that does not mean they all are.

Moral of the story is people don't take the time to understand much of anything.

For another example I have never heard of a 4340 aluminum piston.

4340 steel rods and crank sure.

Mahle is a German based company, Toyota has plants in the US, are they now considered an American Car?

I ran off the shelf wiseco pistons in both my nitrous and turbo builds and loved them.
