The MAF is separate from the airbox and since you have a 93' and don't have a MAF it should be easy as all you need is a bit of coupler/tubing to connect it all? Explain better as I am not sure what issue you are having. If it is simply finding a box that is a problem all by itself as they are pretty hard to comeby these days and ebay and craigslist are your best friends to find one.

+1 on the no MAF, and do NOT buy this hood. They have horrible quality and almost always break. Go with a trufiber or vfn

Friend of mine has a 93 T/A and used the hood and air box off of a 96, so there isn't a special air box liek the above guys said.

I have a trufiber hood on mine..its eh ok. but I wouldn't buy it again if i had to do over... look for an OEM one thats your best bet.

Default 93 Ram air

Same as above... My 93 has the hood and air box from a 97. It has a small wire that connects to the factory 97 box.. and as far as the connection to the maf or lack there of.. just used a piece of pvc pipe.

Just curious, what's wrong with the Trufiber hood? Why wouldn't you buy it again?

Thanks everyone for the response. I'd like to know whats wrong with the trufiber hood also. Its kinda hard finding oem hoods.

Hey myltwon,
How did you get the LS1 lid to fit? What do you have to do to get it to fit the lt1 throttle body?

I've got a harwood I think (bought it off someone) ws6 hood and I made a ls1 ws6 air base and slp lid work (ls1 lid mod, with a twist). Wish I would've known that the trufiber hoods are an oem replica when I was looking for a hood.

and for the coupler, I got mine to go from the maf to the throttle body from intakehoses dot com, you can make the fernco piece fit, but the 4'' end is pretty large, it's made to fit around pvc pipe that is 4'' inside diameter, so it's about a half inch too big, the trottle body opening, if it was circular would be just under 4'' in diameter (same as a ls1 tb)

I have a 93 Formula and I used the Suncoast Creations Predator hood and their Ramair Box, All I did was use a piece of pvc pipe to connect it to my throttle body.
