Default noob question about headers

hi guys I'm about to get my headgasket fix and I think is a good time to do some minor bolt ons to the car. I've heard about how painfull they are to install. i'll be going with long tubes without emissions but I wanna know wich brand will give me less trouble on terms of clearance and fitting. someone said slp are a pain to get in there. iam not sure about that

thanks again

I bought the ebay long tubes with ory for $399 shipped. They will bolt right up for a 94-97 with air/egr and will need a little modification for a 93(have to remove air/egr). I got both in from the top, but all total it was about a 20 hours process. Have to remove alternator, starter, etc... You could probably get any set in from the top with the heads off. No problems with fitment, but I do have the "long tube bump" on the bottom of the floorboard.

I pulled mine out and put them back in without removing the starter or AC or anything in about 3 hours. Not hard at all. DONT buy Dynatech LT's...they are hard as hell to work with. you HAVE to remove the pass side header to change the #6 Spark Plug. Otherwise you can't get the damned SP Socket on the SP.......PITA!

Pacesetters are nice though

MAKE SURE YOU THROW SOME POLY MOTOR MOUNTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! did a buddies LTs and had to beat the primarys in a lil cause he didnt get polys and to get the stock exhaust off i just used my cutting torch (lo Backyard mech...) so they were junk. but save yourself the hassle. throw in poly mounts and drop them down through the top itll work perfect
