Exclamation Need answer quick!!

Witt the rear end cover off what is the visual differance between limited slip and standard. Trying to figure out what oil to put in thanks.

all z28s were limited slip unless the posi broke.

80w-90 will work fine. Also need to get limited slip additive which can be purchased at any auto parts store.

that differential looks like the Auburn gear I had. That is a limited slip differential, and it should have posi-traction

you can tell, did you ever do burnouts in the car? If yes, did both back wheels spin or just one? if it's two, that's posi traction, if one then its standard

put it up on a jack put the car in neutral and spin one of the tires, if they go the same way then its posi.

basically, limited slip still allows the wheels to turn at different speeds. For instance, taking a right or left turn. The inside wheel is gonna spin slower then the outside wheel. The limited slip allows for that difference but both tires will still spin when you do hit the gas..

a locker will not allow the wheels to turn at different speeds. both axles are "locked" together.
