need help with injectors

Default need help with injectors

i am in stalling ford 42 injectors and i cant get the retaner clips to stay what do i need to do. or do i even need them there going on a lt4 elderbrock intake and heads.

If I remember correctly there are 2 slots at the top of the SVO injectors but one does not go all the way around the injector and I believe that is the top one. You have to utilize the lower slot and it moves the injector up in the fuel rail so it seems like there is not enough room for it to seat in the intake manifold but it does, you just have to make sure that your fuel rails are properly mounted. the top ring gos all around and it dosnt hold the clip in. the lower ring has half a ring do i need to cut in a hole ring

I didn't have to do anything to mine, the clips slid right in. I am not sure what is going on with yours, so the clips fit but they just won't stay??

they will stay on the frist ring with out coming off but on the sencond ring were you have to cut the other have it will not stay

Use the one that you do not have to cut, I knew it was one way or the other, if you use the one that is cut all the way around you will be fine
