Default Is it my head gasket? Pictures inside.

I took some pics of the oil tube after I got to school and turned off the car.

I took of the oil cap and looked. Smoke came out of that tube, and also from the coolant reservoir. I am not smoking white smoke, I am losing coolant and the car has overheated.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that while filling up the radiator, and letting the car warm up the coolant kept bubbling and pouring over the fill neck even after the 4 minute warm-up.

And lastly, while coming home this morning from a short drive to get some breakfast and idling in my parking spot white smoke did start coming out the exhaust tips. It's 74* out right now, and the car had gotten up to operating temperature.

I smelled the exhaust but I didn't smell the sweet smell of coolant, smelled like normal exhaust to me, unless that's not how it's supposed to smell?

if its only alittle. and your exhaust doesnt smell like prestone. and if your radiator isnt loosing coolant. it might just be condensation build up inside your engine. meaning its not getting hot enough to burn it off. or its just your head gasket.. any lose in power ?

haven't really noticed any loss in power, it's actually felt good, but I was too scared to give it any gas today. The last couple of times after running perfectly cool, and I decided to gun it, it quickly overheated (or the temps got up there lightning fast).

The oil I'm using is 0w30 and I just changed it. I did check the oil dipstick and I didn't notice any milky substance, but the oil on the stick was pretty thin/runny to me.

youd notice a white substance (mixed oil and water) the oil might of appeared to be thin from it being hot ? 0-30 will be thinner at colder temps then a 10-30 dont forget.

check your oil dipstick it might look watered down and smell/look like coolant....also check your radiator cap it might have that under the cap or have a brown look in the radiator. Indicating oil in the radiator, or if you have a block check it will tell you immediately.

Have you recently overheated your engine? The "milky" color in the oil can be condensation.

yeAH, I have recently overheated. My thermostat got stuck about 3 wks ago and my temp gauge wasn't working. That same day I was doing some runs on a backroad. I think that's what caused my problems. Plus it's overheated sometimes after that, the result of a radiator hose coming off (my mistake).

I have seen that buildup on a handful of LT1's, seems normal.

Definatly check the oil itself, that will be the true sign if ***** trashed.

I guess I'll have to do that.

Or maybe I'll check the oil I just changed.

If it's the head gaskets, I feel like going LE1, but I may not be able to scrap the cash together.

I editedmy first post.

cliff notes: coolant bubbling out of radiator, and white smoke after short drive at idle.

How many times did you over heat the car? May have warped the heads cuasing the head gasket leak. I would drain the oil and see what it looks like.

Borrow a coolant system pressure tester from AutoZone and see if the system can hiold pressure.

Looks like a head gasket failure to me.
