Default Gonna change my Dad's waterpump and opti

Ok I have searched and searched for a thread I found a while back but can't find it for anything! I will be changing the opti and pump in my Dad's 1996 Roadmaster so it has a vented opti.

I have done plenty of opti's and waterpumps in LT1's so that is not the problem. My question comes from me buying a used opti. Well the used opti I bought has the little o-ring on the back where it connects to the cam dowel but it is about to break off. My question is where do I get that o-ring? Is it part of the Felpro timing gasket set or is it dealer only?

If you go to a heavy duty hydraulics shop (For heavy duty equiptment), or a local parts store they should be able to match it up, to the assortment they may have.

Ok well after more searching I found it. They are part number 10474278 and you have to get them from GM.

No it comes in the felpro timing cover set. It should be in a little plastic baggie with 2 of them.

The ones in the Felpro kit are for the waterpump shaft.

Oh well they look identical. At least they did upon taking off the old ones on my opti. I will see how these run.
