Talking Track night with some friends, and a new pb for myself!

Some friends (ls1tech members also) and myself all went up to Centerville, AR on Saturday 9/26. I only got to make 3 passes because my car wouldn't shift into 3rd at WOT. Not sure yet why but it wasn't worth breaking something so I called it a night. Had a good time and got a few vids to share with every one. Here is my first pass, and slowest of the night. Oh yeah, you guys will have to excuse my wife. She was nice enough to film for me and keep up with all 3 of my kids running around.

11.09 @ 96 mph - 1000 ft
2.008 60 ft

My last pass of the night was a...

11.03 @ 96 mph - 1000 ft
2.001 60 ft

I'm not real sure what my friends best time of the night was because I left before they finished but here is a video of them racing each other. I'm sure they will chime in and let all you guys know how they did.

Well, I guess I'll ask the stupid question as to why my 1/8th time is more important. I only ask because I don't know. The 1000 ft is all I've ever run.

8.6 @ 84 mph - 1/8th

it's just most people run on 1/8 mile or 1/4 mile tracks so the times make more sense to them and myself.

sounds like some decent times. time for some gears and a convertor!

Yeah, I want to do a 3200-3600 convertor and some 3.73's, and some LE, or AI heads. I won't do the convertor until I get a performance built trans and I'm not wasting any money on this 2 series carrier rear end, I'll just wait and get either a 12 bolt or a 9 inch.

In all honestly, I'm trying to have the fastest N/A LT4 Hot Cam Auto car. Not sure what the current record is cause searching isn't helping out too much.

Why dont you pick up a stock M6 rear till you can get a better rear that would help out alot.

Man, I only wish I had a car like this in high school!

Actually, I just put the long tubes on it and the cai last weekend and took it to the track this weekend. I liked the gmmg better with the factory manifolds then with the headers and ory. I'm selling it now for a 2.5 x pipe and some powersticks.

I would but everyone local wants 300-400 for them and I don't want to spend that much plus the extra money to have the pcm retuned and a new gasket and fresh fluid. I can put it in myself but I would just rather wait. If I come across a good deal I will but I just haven't found one.

Your 8.6 is about a 13.40 run in the 1/4 mile. Give or take a tenth.

I think these ol' 315's out back did just fine. Traction wasn't a problem. Going fast was, lol!

Ya.. My best pass wasnt my best time..
10.50 @ 100, only thing I changed was a SPEC 2 and went from a 255/50 MT DR to a 245/50 555R.. Hooking up was an issue for me(Best 60ft was 1.96, but consitant 2.0-.1
Smaller tire and a more aggresive clutch I guess wasnt doing well on a humid night..

Ive gone 10.36 @ 105 on stock clutch so I need to get some better tire on and go for some 10.0-.1
K Mack

BTW, My car is in the 2nd video in the left lane(looking at vid, im on right)
I Bogged..lol..
