Hooker Aerochamber with a resonator after the ORY?
I have an SLP resonator that I was running on my Z28 with the stock manifolds and no cats, it had no tone at idle but was loud and fun to drive. But the rasp was unbearable! I was hoping to hear it with long tubes before my cam swap and head work.
However, I head the Aerochamber once and fell in love with it. Of course, I got one.
I am interested in installing a resonator after the Y or 2 in the Y pipe (like a catted Y) and maybe one of those flexible braided resonators after the Y (just for inspection purposes_, and also to quiet it down a little bit more and if possible, give it an even deeper tone (if it can be done that way).
Here are the things I have thought of:
The cheater exhaust: 2 of those fake cats which are just straight pipes with a case on them to fool the inspectors and also slap the SLP right after the Y.
2 resonators after each header collector and nothing after the Y.
Same as above but with a flexible resonator after the Y.
What do you guys think?

It might be okay with just one resonator after the y-pipe. I was considering doing this myself cause I'm kinda not liking the sound the aerochamber muffler makes while driving...but then at idle it seems a bit quiet so a resonator might muffle the sound even more!

You have a CC306, that would make a big difference to how mine would sound lol
I have only heard the Aerochamber with just headers, and one with a 383 on here with a custom cam or I think CC306. It sounded really good but that old school bellow was lost.
Would love to hear it with a CC503.

Well i run a hooker catback with longtubes and offroad y and it's really quiet as it is even with my cam and heads. driving on the highway is awesome because i can barely hear the exahaust and there is no drone. it also sounds so damn good on the throttle. i would think a resonator would make it way too quiet since the aerochamber is a very quiet muffler to begin with
