I just wanted to share my bad opti symptoms so if someone has simular problems it would help solve it. My car would start up and run perfectly fine. It had no type of hesitation or lack of power. The only thing it would do is while driving the rpm would flutter then it would shut off and sometimes would backfire a bit right before it shut off. It wouldn't matter if it was cold or hot. Also most noticable when wet. The weired part was that the car would start up fine. Well I changed the opti today and it hasn't shut off on me at all after about 40min of driving. Problem fixed. Hope this helps others.

btw this was a gm opti that was only 2 years old and had a lil bit of rust and wasn't really a DD. I would say 6,000 miles on it if that.
