Default Bad motor mounts make noise?

Do bad motor mounts on these cars ever make any noise? Do bad stock (rubber) mounts make the drivetrain feel sloppy?

Also, Im having a squeeky belt issue on my car as well. I'm going to change the belt and belt tensioner pulley. But I've noticed my power steering pulley wobbles some when viewed from the top. How do you go about removing this pulley?

Yeah the motor mounts can make noise and make the drivetrain feel sloppy. With the miles on most lt1 cars if their stock motor mounts you should replace them.
The power steering pully i believe is pressed on someone correct me if im wrong.

I have some prothane polys I'm getting installed next week.

It doesnt seem to have a bolt holding the pulley to the pump like the belt tensioner pulley. But then again its kind of hard to see in that area.

Ok thanks that helps. My drivetrain feels really sloppy and there is a lot of vibration. But at idle I hear a rapping sound that I think might be coming from my driver side mount.

Yeah while youre doing that check the transmission mount and the torque arm mount. If you run poly motor mounts and use the stock rubber trans mount they will work against each otherand break the trans mount so do yourself a favor and replace that too

I replaced the trans mount with an Energy Suspension poly one about 6 months ago. I'll look into getting the poly torque arm mount. When Im crusing I can let off the gas and hear a little thud under the car. Then when I lightly tap the throttle I hear it again. It drives me crazy and I'm trying to get rid of it.

Bad motor mounts cause lots of drivetrain lash or "slop".

Mine were all tore up on my 02, when you rocked the car back and forth in gear, it would move about 8" back and forth. Now with a new clutch and poly motor mounts, maybe 2". Not to mentioned it killed the "clunk" I had on every shift.

Mine is an auto 97 with 96k miles. So they have had plenty of time to deteriorate. The first thing I noticed was a thud or clunk upon stopping and the car downshifting. Now I've got that thud when I hit the gas and let off, and the drivetrain just feels loose and sloppy. I can hear a rapping sort of tapping sound that I think might be the driver side mount hitting against the frame at idle or something.

Im hoping Poly motor mounts, poly trans mount, poly torque arm mount, and LS1 driveshaft fix the problems. I've still got the unbalanced stock steel driveshaft on there too.
