Depending on how bad its leaking it can get on the clutch and cause it to slip. Are you sure it's the real main and not the back of the intake. Stick your hand behind the intake and feel if its wet and if it is then thats whats leaking

Yeah, if your rear main starts leaking on and your m6, you better stop driving and change it out asap if you dont want to ruin your clutch.

Us a4 guys can keep riding.

Yeah ruined a Hays street/strip once that way, my rear main seal was leaking horribly, like leaving tiny puddles wherever I parked the car. Whatever, it was motivation to finally put my other motor in at the time. I was going to run a different clutch anyway, but yes your clutch won't appreciate it. If you are ever down that far, might as well yank that seal out and hammer in a new one.

LOL... if these were two piece you'd see a hell of a lot more complaints than what's here now. It's not the design that's the problem. It's either from a worn out seal, a low quality seal or improperly installing the seal. Some of them are required to go in dry.

I know boss I j/k. I remember the sales pitch I got from a dealer years ago about it. "It will never leak, not even if you have 200k on it." lmfao yea I didn't not by that, in fact it turned me off of that dealer because of that.

Sales people, service writers and even mechanics have acquired the talent of bullshitting their way through their job.
