I have a walbro 255 with the hotwire kit. For all I know, it has always bled down this quickly. It wasn't until now that I have actually had a fuel pressure gauge to check.

I'm not going to rule out VATS just yet. It just seems weird it runs the same amount of time before it shuts off. I know VATS will do that.

I've spent the whole day trying to figure why it won't run longer than 3 seconds and I still can't figure it out.
I found out why my fuel pressure bleeds off but that's not the reason for it shutting off. I think it's something tuning related or a sensor because why else would it only run for the same length of time each try? I made a data log and sent it to my tuner. If anyone is good with Tuner cat and Datamaster, I'll send them my log if they want to take a stab at it.

VA Speed has it right now. Dropped it off there last week. I had them fabricate an exhaust between my downpipe and loudmouth catback. Also had them reroute my turbo inlet because it was too crammed behind the radiator. Once that's done (probably done already) they will figure out my stalling issue. If all goes to plan, it will be ready this weekend. But I'm not holding my breath.

They got it running. It was running really lean so he changed the fuel tables.
But of course nothing goes to plan. It's supposedly leaking water in the crankcase somewhere. Could be those damn headgaskets again, or worse, we hit water from the machining process. Most likely have to tear down the motor and start again.

I got the car back and pulled the heads off. There was milky oil everywhere. All over the underside of the valve covers and intake. The head gaskets didn't line up with the coolant passages in a few spots. Those large passages on each end of the block. I found out those copper head gaskets are for a Gen 1 block. Damn machine shop picked em out. Bought some Felpro 1074's and I'm in the process of putting it back together now. I just finished installing the rocker arms. Hopefully I'll finish today.

Damn. . I'd be getting some money back from that machine shop. Good to hear it's getting put back together

It's all back together. Drove it around the block some to try and break in the motor. I have a soft wastegate spring in it so I don't build any boost. I did hear the turbo spool a few times which made me smile a little

No more water in the oil thankfully. However, it developed a new oil leak at the oil pressure sending unit behind the intake. Easy fix but still sucks it happened. Fluid leaks tick me off more than anything because it gets all over your pretty new stuff. Oh well, I'll get to it tomorrow.

I may make a video tomorrow. Nothing really cool to show at the moment. It does have a mean idle. What do you guys want to see?

Shortly after this video I found out water is leaking past a few of my head studs. A couple of the ones under the valve cover too . Oh the joy

Just keep finding weak points/problems and fixing them. Soon enough your biggest problem is going to be washing it again. Keep working towards that.

Sounds 10000x better than the turbo Viper I had over last night!!!
Sux about the head studs leaking. Stupid question but you did use thread sealant on the bolts that hit water pockets???
