New PB's at PINKS All Out!
Yesterday was day two of PINKS All Out Maple Grove. Anyone of you who has the chance to get on an All Out episode really needs to. There is alot of waiting around but it is an absolute blast! Yesterday was a long day, woke up at 5am and didn't get home till after midnight.
After driving an hour to the track and then having the car idle off and on for about in hour for entry/tech in etc., I ripped off an 11.50 at 118mph pass with a 1.57 60'. I was pumped as my previous best was ran last month over at the Island where I went 11.62 at 116mph with a 1.58. The only change I made to the car was a re-adjustment of the valves as I expected a couple of them were inconsistent with one another. About an hour later I made my second pass and went 11.47 at 119 mph! At this point I was super pumped as I didn't expect to trap 119 in a 362rwhp Auto (unlocked). Last pass of the day was the first round of the arm drop. The car sat for several hours and wasn't up to operating temperature at the time of the run (the car hates being cold). I went 11.61 at 117mph but it was good enough to run right with a worked '70 Chevelle SS 396. DA for the day was around +500.

Very nice, how do you like that PT4K?
I have been looking at that as my next stall but have never driven a PT series before. Not sure if they time your 60' on any of the runs there...

Thanks everyone!
For what I use the car for it's great. Having owned both an SS and a PT series converters they both have their pros and cons but if you want the best converter for an all out N/A setup I would go PT. After the car shifts gears the PT really keeps the rpm's up there so the car just screams down the track. It's a little loose on the street so it can be annoying with my dumped TD's but it really performs when you lay into it. With more gear out back I think it would tighten up a bit and be perfect. With that said, I would go back to an SS converter if I drove the car more than 3,000 miles a year.
The first run of the day I got a slip but yes all runs after that did not show '60 times nor were slips given out.
That's with me in the car. Without me the car is at 3200# on the dot.
