LS1 Lid+WS6 Airbox on LT1 WS6?
I know there is a ton of info on the lid conversion but there is next to none for LT1 WS6s. I know there will not be a lot of gain if any with the conversion but I want to do something different and all the parts are available locally for cheap. So my question is will a LS1 lid with the WS6 lower airbox fit under the WS6 hood? Or is the use of a standard airbox required? Any help is appreciated.

I mean there **should** be room but if you need more you can cut things up. I have a cowl hood and ended up cutting the bottom of the hood for clearence and trimming the rad support. I really like how it sits.

I've got a ws6 base on mine, had to trim the bottom of the base for clearance. It lines up fairly well, sorry that I don't have any finished pics in the thread.

Don't you have the correct LT1 WS6 airbox? If so i'd stick with that. I thought the LS1 lid swap was a cheaper alternative for people who couldn't find/afford a real LT1 WS6 box. I would think the LT1 box sealed to the hood would provide more air than the LS1 setup.

probably a good 1/4'', maybe a little more in some spots, it really depends on how much you're willing to trim the hood. If you don't want to trim much off the hood, then you're gonna be trimming more off the bottom of the base. Lots and lots of test fitting.
