Congratulations on meeting your goal. I vote you keep the lt1 in there at least until it's worn out before swapping to the ls you said you have sitting.
Did you end up getting your 10 with the slp catback still on, or swapped to duals first? Hoping to hear the full catback made it.

Thanks guys, I still cant believe this lt1 ran a ten..lol. The car was run just as listed(cat back intact) with the only changes being one of chris1313 ram air set ups by way of LS1 SPEED and better weather.
Just so you know, that car already gets rubber in the first two gears

[QUOTE=chas010;13880100] Ha.....outta be easy for ya then....it's a ringer.
Wonder what your car would run with the heater/AC back in? Which would mean not only more weight, but also you would lose the ram air you just added. Back to 11.30's maybe? Sure looks clean without all that stuff underhood. I have a 95 M6 the same color sitting here with a knocking engine I picked up for parts, but can't bring myself to part out. So if I spend way too much money on it, you can thank yourself and this thread. Gotta keep the AC......GA summers are hot and I'm getting old.

I was going to start a thread on here detailing my attempt at dropping a couple more tenths of my 1995 z28 if anybody was interested .
The car currently has run a 10.98 but needs safety equipment added this year which will more than likely slow it down. The car is going to be running its origional non rebuilt LT1 engine and tranny (hopefully all year) but everything else is up in the air.
My goal this year is going to be 10.70s

It's great to see an update on your car!! I've enjoyed keeping up with it. I know how you feel about the added weight of the cage, but I have seen times when people didn't lose anything from adding one. Sometimes the added rigidity helped traction and wasted twisting motion enough to offset the added weight I guess.

I say ditch the door panels, door bars, rear bumper support, all the heat shields under the car, and the brackets in the car if you haven't already. That should get rid of the weight added from the roll cage. Oh and get a lighter seat and I see there is still the passenger side seat belt too, ditch that, and if you haven't already, an aluminum driveshaft.
Edit: Thought of more: mirrors, wipers you could always put them back on, fog lights, high beams, rear hatch struts, I saw it said before but steering wheel for a light one, and I could think of a few more.
Not sure but what about ditching the alternator unless you don't think the car will last. You could always slap a charger on it in between runs.
