Default 200,000 miles!!!

Hey guys my 94 formula jus ran upto 200,000 miles on the clock and i am considering rebuilding the stock motor since it has me runnin 15.5's all day. when i first got it i actually hit a 14 flat but since then its gone down hill. Im lookin to keep it stock for now while i fix all the other stuff that is just too old now....what do u guys recommend lookin into?

congrats!! mine almost made it that far..*long story*

i say go for it under these conditions...

-you have double your planned budget to do it.

-you have another vehicle to drive so you can take your time with it.

-do your homework so you don't have to re-do things.

Ok well im not looking into makin that more than stock motor and a great suspension on it. I got a 96 formula as a back up car for now as long as i can put my rear end now onto this one. I really need to look into any kits so i can jus refresh it as it doesnt smoke and it runs great but jus not as strong as it used too as everythin is worn out wit my aggressive driving

Lt1's are cool, but FWIW, I found a ls1 for $600 and peiced the rest together to fit an old ram for another $600, I'm sure you could find a good deal on a ls1 or even a new cast iron 6.0 would get you botton 13's with 20+mpgs

Also.. What is the rest of the setup? stick? auto?

I got my 96 formula for 600 wit only the rear end missing and 110,000 miles on the clock.
Its 94 formula A4 wit all around stock motor and the only real upgrades are msd ignition box, msd coil, msd wires, and a pretty old flowmaster catback

10's and 15.5's are two very different numbers. Your going to need about 450rwhp to get close to the 10's in a 3500lb car, Roughly.

Look into building a 383.

slomarao
i understand that they r very different numbers but as right now my 96 formula has run 13.9 and yes it will take a while but i will get there

killagt
i usually use 5w30 royal purple and mobil 1 filter but recently my oil pan gasket developed a leak which led me to change to some 10w30 penzoil along wit a purolator filter

Ya lt1's can take alot of beating and i know that my car would see more time on the clock but i rather not push my luck as of now.
