Default harness question

hey guys i have a 1995 m6 bird.

my question for you guys is wear is the best/ cheapest place to get a harnes for it.

mine is cut to hell and back by the previous owner.

coudl i get a harness out of a caprice??

Salvage yard. You will want one out of a 95 manual like yours for an exact swap. A 96-97 manual would probably be the next closest match. Caprice harnesses are not the same and include the fuse box.

sometimes an m6 engine harness turns up on ebay for around $150. i bought 2 of them a few months ago and they looked amazing for their age/mileage. definitely get a 95 harness as the 94 has a different connector that runs up the passenger side (made that mistake). i have found random writeups (one was posted here somewhere) that auto harness can be made to work if you buy the pigtails and dont mind splicing a few wires. if ya gotta have "new" you will be spending north of $500 for a rewired factory or custom made harness.

all the junk yards aroudn me have no lt1 birds and i have no ebay acount cause of my age
