Default engine swap

I wrecked my 95 Trans am and i am looking for another one to switch my engine, trans and rearend into. My engine is new and the rearend has less than 2000 miles on it so i want to reuse them. What year car would be the easiest to switch everything into as far as wiring (obd1 vs obd2). I guess what i am asking is what would it take to put the 95 engine into a 93,94 or 96,97 car. Also is it possible to put the lt1 in a 98+ trans am. I know that is just the opposite of what everyone else is doing but this is a new 600 rwhp engine and i really want to reuse it. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hey:

Is the K member still good? I would look for a 93-95 6 popper car if your K member is still good, only because you can get them so much cheaper. As long as you don't mind all the work to switch them over.
