With the TTS datamaster I notice that i get knock counts of 2000+ while idling. The only spark retard i notice is 0.1 only a few times.

Is knock count that high normal and will it cause my car to loose any power?

Is it incrementing? The knock count register is cumulative. It goes up to a certain number then resets and starts counting again.

Any KR at idle is a problem.

I recently had a KR pop out of nowhere and it turned out to be a header gasket leak right above the sensor. Once the gasket was replaced, the KR was gone.

Yes it actually seems like it goes up to 4k+ then drops back down and goes up again. Being that I only get 0.1 retard a few times during a 10 min log is this something I should worry about? I do have a LT4 KM, would the next step be tunning it out of the computer?
