Swapping auto console to manual?

has anyone swapped the manual console into an auto while keeping the auto trans? i've seen some swaps over in a ls1, but i dont think ive seen it done in an lt1. any pics or info would help

IIRC the only piece that is different between the two consoles is a piece that accommodates the two shifters which snaps into place on the console.

true^^^ the very top piece is the only difference. I did this when my firehawk was still an automatic and it worked just fine...but......you couldnt put the car into first gear manually
