Red face What's an LT1 worth?

What's up guys? My dad has a '97 LT1 with only 19,000 miles on it, but it has spun 2 rod bearings. What would be a reasonable price on that?

What kind of person could be that cruel to such a low mileage car? The OPs dad must be a real winner if that's the case.

Actually, my brother worked at a GM dealership back in the late 90's and a dude bought the car new and spun the bearings. It was under factory warranty, so the service department replaced it and sold this one to my dad.

fix the car before you sell it. You will get quite a bit more even after you re coup what you spend on the rebuild. LT1's arent worth ****.

The motor is actually rapped in plastic on a crate like it has been for 13 years.

It will be hard to sell complete since nobody can tell how bad the motor is.

Double the scrap iron value of the motor.

Spinoff: anyone want an iron headed lt1 with 233k? It actually runs though no spun bearings.
