who's running 120mph+ and daily driving
And not obnoxious loud ofcourse... Here's why I ask --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_PGFI8UfM4 my buddie's car.
he ran 125.75mph, spent about 5k on upgrades. car runs like stock, smooth, quiet, a/c,etc...it's a real sleeper.
I don't know if it's possible on a LT1 NA and not super loud, but curious if anyone is doing it. I'm pretty sure should be possible FI.

How about NA?
The motor is long gone, but I have had two solid roller 396 engines that have trapped consistantly 125-126mph in the 1/4 on 17" wheels/tires on all 4 corners....strait of the street. The only thing I did was lower the rear tire pressure. I daily drove the car almost 8000 miles that year and took it on two 6-hour road trips (each way) to Ohio.

cuz i'm asking the question of lt1 guys and using the e55 as comparison to what i had in mind.
I can't confirm/deny your statement on stock cars running those ETs, but show me a stock e55 running nearly 126mph in a quarter on street tires. ETs you can work on, that MPH speaks a lot of power, regardless of if you figure out how to put it down or not. If you want to call it a highway queen that's fine, my ask was about daily driver and a lot of MPH not a low ET.

i built a carbed 383 for my camaro and did it for $2k and i can now run in the mid 11s. its not neccessarily about how much power youve got, now that is a major factor, but it also depends on what kind of gear youve got. also remember that 3rd and 4th gen f-bodies have a relativley weak chassis, unibodies arent made for extreme power and hard launches they flex too easily. sub-frame connectors and possibly a cage even a half cage would help big time.

I'm talking about a comparison to an E55 , you're talking about supra's. I'm talking about MPH, you're talking about ET.
that's fine if the thread doesn't interest you. For the 99.9% of the time I drive this car, ET is not top of mind. You may be after something different for your car which is fine too. My own curiousity is about about cars that are daily driven ( or could be ) that can run some serious MPH like this E55.
For you Chicago guys, if you remember seeing the 'Shboom' mustang around, you'd know what I mean.
