Default how important is this?

bar thats bolted to the frame and above the panhard bar? How important is it to be on a streetcar? Racecars get rid of it but on a streetcar is it really necessary to have on the car? Give reasons to why its needed or not.

I spoke about this with a chassis fabricator, and he said even though it's weight and not totally necessary, it is weight that you need in a good spot - directly over the axle. For this reason, I left mine in.

ITs not the weight factor, Ive heard mixed signals on leaving it on only if its a streetcar and it dont matter for a racecar because it only goes straight! SO I want to see what others say?
