Default Im confused

I was driving last friday and all of a sudden it starts sputtering almost like it was out of gas. Went to pick up some food earlier and it starts doing it again. I drove the car about 3 times after it started and it was fine but it came back all of a sudden. What could it be?

Same thing happend to me years ago. It could be the opti spark going bad, check to see if theres coolant or water/moisture leaking on it.

I would check the fuel filter first. It's only $9 at most part stores so it won't hurt to change anyway. Next I would check the plug wires to see if any are burned or loose on either end. I just had a plug wire come loose from a plug a few weeks ago and the same thing happened. Opti will almost always set off a ses light. Most people say to check the opti but most of the time it's something simple. Good luck.

IF you got an CEL/SES light when it happened then its very likely a high/low res failure on the opti.
IF not then check the more obvious and cheaper parts first.

why are you confused? there was no indication on your part that anything you were suggested to check was actually done other than confirming nothing dripped onto the opti. you mentioned the SES light already being on so go have the codes scanned. if you want help you can either:
1. perform what you were asked to do so far and respond with the results
2. ask someone to go to your house and work on the car because you will not

Ok I did everything i know to do. I cant take it to be scanned because it will not run for no more thank 2 to 3 minutes without dying on me and the nearest place to get it scanned is about 45 minutes away. Im giving what i know. There is no need what so ever to try and be an ***. When you have limited tools, and knowledge, its not that easy. Thats why i come here looking for advice because bills and college take almost every bit of my funds. Im giving the information as to what is happening when it happens hoping someone has had the problem and can tell what they did to fix it. the only reason I ask these questions are to try and narrow down what it is, Im a full time college student and part get expensive really quick.

Bad O2 sensor wont give you the problem your describing.

Have you tried unplugging your MAF sensor to see if it runs better?
