Exclamation 94 body, 97 lt1 engine

We took the engine, wiring harness, computer etc. out of a 1997 lt1 ws6 trans am and put in in my 1994 Pontiac trans am. The engine cranks but we have no spark and no fuel pump power, is this because of the wiring harness difference between the 94 and the 97?

What problems do you run into when u have obd1 and obd2 together?
plz help guys maybe somebody has done this before and knows what bypass we need to do.

I put a 93 LT1 and 700r4 from a trans am into my 95 3.4L v6 camaro and i had the same problem. I never did figure why the car wouldnt run the fuel pump. I checked and the fuel relay wasnt activating but the relay was fine the car just didnt want to activate it so i put the fuel pump on switches and just cut the relay out of the circuit. The car runs amazing but i never had the spark issue so i cant help you with that one. I would think that its not a wiring issue or anything just a mistake was made when you swapped everything.

think you also have to bypass the vats at the steering column also..

i put a 97engine in my 94z28 used the 94 obd1 computer, changed the knock sensor and the coil and icm on the 97engine to the 94 stuff.. didnt need the crank position sensor so i just left it there to plug the hole in the timing cover..
also had to use the 94 exhaust setup, manifolds,y-pipe to single cat)

it was pretty much plug and play... plus theres free tuning software for obd1 stuff..

the three connectors that go under the dash to the bodys computer from the engine wiring harness need to be re-wired. even tho the connectors fit together u will notice that some fo the wires in the connector do not line up with the other connector, so they need to be rearranged. you'll need to compare C230,C220, and C210. and slice the wires so that they will match up in those diagrams if you have any that dont, just compare the 94 column to the 97 column so you can see what doesnt match up. you can use this link, this might not be ur problem but this is what i was able to find, i am doing the same thing atm 97 motor to a 94 body, and i was researching every problem that might come up
