new!here and 2 lt1's sup guys new to this site and the lt1 i'm getting sun.u hear it 100's of time on upgrades but i'm only interest'd it the trans perf,2nd gear chirp or very firm fifts and idea's servos,kits i'm good at that so lay it on me!thanks people

What's up guys? I am new to this site and to the LT1 powered vehicle which I am purchasing Sunday. You all hear it hundreds of times on which upgrades should be done but I am only interested in transmission performance. I would like to chirp 2nd gear or have very firm shifts. Any ideas you have whether it be servos or kits I should be able to install myself because I am good at stuff like that, so lay it on me!. Thanks people.

I sseug i'm on the wrong site here!I'm on HPP and tradeing a 79 bandit t/a!So i guess i'll look else where man didn't sign up to be the joke of a site?by the way it's a 94 z A4 147,000 but i'll figure it out on my own thanks anyyaw's guy's

Are you typing on a netbook by any chance? Sometimes my sentences look like that too when I use a small laptop like a netbook. My finger pushes down on like 2-3 different buttons at a time.

sorry about that.94 z A4 147,000 has home made looking cold air intake.But metal?That would be hot!all stock cat back 3".Any servo's for these?They make 2 that i seen.

Performabuilt and Finish Line Transmissions (FLT) are two big transmission sponsors on here.
But your LT1 should be able to chirp 2nd from the factory no problem on street tires. If it doesn't anymore you'll probably be looking to rebuild the tranny sometime soon.
However, you do realize when you chirp 2nd gear,you're actually slowing down right?

Remind me of smokey and bandit, where he tattoo street on second gear on automatic ( the first time he met the wedding girl )., how the hell he did that on automatic, it must be a manual.

correct they had 3 t/a's for that movie!really 2 auto,1 4spd.smokey burnout's are u guess'd it manual!buy the last seen they had 2 push the bird acsoss the track!LOL mine is a 79 black/gold sweeet bird but want a 96 up t/a but no luck so i did find a 94 z.Took a 96 ws6 a4 for a test drive last week and ripp'd off 2nd wow what a awsome feeling that was!And the next guy to drive it bought it!...**** so close.94 has 20's on it so i'm in the market for some 16's17's not new but good usable ss's,z06,tt2's or something in that area.20x10 35 series dunlop,ferio wheels he said.so with some mods hopefully 2nd gear rubber will be easy,or like u said.But 20's are a little much 2 scratch 2nd.it is paint's corvette atomic orange with 98 tan leather from t/a,panels and all sweet ride.
