Default Timing cover questions

Ok what did you guys use to plug top hole in timing cover... Also it is said that the timing cover has to be clearance on the inside but mine seems to slide on just fine. Where do you guys usually clearance it at. And lastly is the timing cover material aluminum?

One more thing... Did you guys plug up or do anything where the water pump drive bolted up?

Thanks in Advanced for your help.

It is made of Aluminum. I've seen people use Freeze Plugs to plug the Holes.
What Engine are you putting it on to want to plug the OPTI hole?

Its going on an lt1, correct me if I'm wrong but the opti uses the center hole where the cam pin is sticking out (parked it and tore it apart 4 yrs ago... ). See the three bolts in the middle. What I want to cover is the water pump hole. I have a cloyes double roller on the block. And an electric water pump ready to bolt on....

Also needed to know if you guys did anything where the water pump drive bolts up...

JB Weld and a quarter. Been holding for years and I don't plan on changing it.

What did you do where the drive assemble bolted up in the block behind the timing cover?

That I left open. Most people do (and supposedly adds additional oiling to the timing chain area, although that's never been proven).

Depends on the years, why advertise? You have to live my valve covers to see who makes mine. Its a bit easy to tell somethings up since the castings are cleaner than stock.
